Chianti Wine Tour Tuscany

Leaving Florence will continue to the wine route through vineyards and olive trees until reach Greve in Chianti, a region of beautiful forests and green hills, rows of vineyards and medievals villages. We will visit Castellina in Chianti, exploring the city and its medieval cobblestone road and the magnificent Castellina Castle, the fifteenth century built by order of Lorenzo the Magnificent of the Medici family. We continue to the beautiful town of Greve in Chianti, famous for its triangular square and the home of the famous navigator Verrazzano. Free time to taste the wines and visit local shops and market.

From Grave, after a short trip to Montefioralle to discover the beauty of this town with its cobbled roads and breathtaking views. We arrive at a family winery, where you can enjoy a delicious Tuscan lunch and enjoy a wine tasting of the famous Chianti Classico Black Rooster.

Then we visit another, the largest winery, where you will be guided through a process of winemaking. (Optional)

Learn more about the famous red wines of Chianti, how they are produced and the differences in the taste of the various blends and grapes. On the way to Livorno we stop at the famous Abbey of Passignano SUPER TUSCAN motherhouse, where you can admire the surrounding landscapes. The abbey, whose existence has been documented since the beginning of the 11th century, was once one of the most powerful castles of Val di Pesa.

Payments

Rates can be paid at the end of each excursion directly to the driver in Euros cash, Euro travellers’ cheque. Travellers’ cheque has a Euro 5.00 charge for bank fees. Visa and Mastercard credit cards are welcome in advanced. Credit card payments are subject to a 5% bank fees surcharge. Booking 3 services: Livorno - Civitavecchia - Naples require a deposit of 10% at least of one. The final balance will have to be made at the end of the tour. Our rates are for vehicles NOT for number of persons.
